How does it work?

To browse our records, and see who we have information about, simply click on 'Search the migration index'. You do not need to register for this and it's free!

If you find somebody of interest and want to know more then you'll need to register and add some credit to your account. Payment can be made online, through PayPal for secure credit and debit card transactions, or by sending a cheque direct to us (the credit will be added once the cheque has cleared). Credit can be added in multiples of £5 (GBP) and does not expire.

Migrant data is available online in two sections. Firstly you can view the basic information on the migrant and the details of their migration. Each record viewed will cost £0.50 (GBP) which will be deducted from your account.

Secondly you can then view extended information on the migrant, their relatives and life before and after migration. Viewing this section of the record is charged on a sliding scale (£0.50 - £1.50) depending on the amount of information available. Details on the available information and the cost of the record is shown when viewing the first section.

Finally, further information is often stored, by us, in paper form, such as photographs or copies of census data. Information on these additional resources is shown in the second section.
